Day by Day Itinerary
Board your catamaran at Alimos Marina, a southern suburb of Athens about 30 km from the airport, from 16:00. After settling into your en-suite cabin and meeting the crew, the catamaran leaves at 18:00 for a short sail (13 nm, about 2h15) to Agia Marina on Aegina, a sheltered bay close to the Temple of Aphaia, for the first night at anchor.
Morning swim and watersports straight from the boat. An optional taxi trip to the 5th-century BC Temple of Aphaia is possible (entrance about €10 per person, not included). After lunch the catamaran sails on (30 nm, about 4h30) to secluded Molos Beach on Hydra. In the late afternoon you can take a sea taxi to Hydra town, a car-free harbour of stone mansions and cobbled lanes where donkeys are still the main transport.
A morning sail to uninhabited Dokos and its sheltered Skintos Bay for swimming and lunch, then on to Spetses (16 nm, about 2h45), an island known for its naval history and its role in the 1821 War of Independence, with grand captains' mansions, the old harbour and the lively Dapia quarter.
A short sail (12 nm, about 2h) with a swim and lunch stop at Agios Emilianos before arriving at Ermioni, a pretty town on the Argolid coast facing Dokos and Hydra. Walk the short Katafyki Gorge trail to the village of Fournoi or stroll around the pine-covered Bisti peninsula.
Sailing to Poros (24 nm, about 4h) with a swim and lunch stop in Soupia Bay. Arrive at the hillside town of Poros with its archaeological museum and the historic clock tower above the harbour, a good spot for a panoramic view over the town.
An early sail to Love Bay near Poros for breakfast and a morning swim, then around the Methana peninsula with a lunch stop at Agios Georgios before reaching Palaia (Old) Epidavros (24 nm, about 4h), a small harbour in a narrow, pine-fringed bay with archaeological sites and good snorkelling.
After breakfast, visit the Small Ancient Theatre a few minutes' walk away. Lunch and a last swim, snorkel or paddle in a quiet bay on tiny Agistri, then sail back to Alimos Marina (30 nm, about 5h). After dinner on board you can head into central Athens and the Plaka district.
Final breakfast on board and disembarkation at 09:00.
