Penal Sanctions

This page summarises the contractual consequences that can apply if either party to a charter booking does not fulfil their obligations.

If a guest cancels or fails to appear (no-show): the cancellation fees set out in our Cancellation Policy apply. A no-show, without prior cancellation, is treated as a cancellation with no notice.

If a guest causes damage to a vessel or its equipment: the cost of repair or replacement, beyond normal wear and tear, is chargeable to the guest responsible, in line with the vessel operator's standard charter terms and any security deposit held for the charter.

If Medsail Holidays AB is unable to deliver a confirmed charter (e.g. due to a vessel becoming unavailable), we will offer a comparable alternative vessel or route where possible, or a full refund of amounts paid for the affected charter.

These terms are supplementary to, and do not replace, the specific terms confirmed in writing for your individual booking.
