Saronic Gulf

The Saronic Gulf is the sheltered stretch of sea between Athens and the Peloponnese — the closest cruising ground to the Greek capital and one of the easiest, calmest places to sail. A yacht charter in the Saronic links the car-free elegance of Hydra and Spetses, the pistachio island of Aegina and the Venetian towns of the mainland, all within short, gentle hops.

A Saronic charter is relaxed island-hopping with history at every stop. Moor below the stone mansions of Hydra, climb to the Temple of Aphaia on Aegina, swim off Poros and Dokos, and sail on to the fortress of Monemvasia and the Venetian harbour of Nafplio. Sheltered water and short distances make it ideal for families, first-timers and shorter charters.

Most Saronic charters start from Athens (Alimos marina) or Lavrio, minutes from the airport.
