Cruise FAQ

Practical questions about onboard life, cabins, food and booking for a catamaran cabin cruise.

Onboard Life

No — casual, comfortable clothing is all you need. Barefoot on deck is genuinely the norm.
Charging points are available, though it depends on the specific boat. Hairdryers usually work fine too, but they aren't provided in the cabins, so bring your own if you need one.
The crew greets everyone and runs through a safety and orientation briefing before you set off.
The crew ferries guests to and from the shore by dinghy at each stop.
The captain may adjust the itinerary for safety and comfort if conditions call for it — this can happen on any sailing holiday.

Cabins & Crew

You're welcome to request a preference. We can't guarantee it, but we'll do our best on a first-come, first-served basis.
The route page shows the yacht typically used for that cruise. The exact boat model can occasionally change, but you'll always get comparable cabin accommodation.
Other cabins are booked by fellow independent travellers — expect a friendly mix of nationalities and ages who share a love of sailing.
Yes — travelling solo and want your own cabin, it's charged at a solo rate. We're also happy to try to pair you with another same-gender solo guest instead.
A professional captain sails the boat and a chef handles the galley — the crew live aboard full-time and are dedicated to that yacht.

Food & Drinks

Full board as standard — breakfast, lunch and dinner, timed around the day's sailing and anchorage.
Water, tea and coffee are included with meals; soft drinks and alcohol vary by destination — ask us for the exact package on your route.
Let the crew know your dietary needs in advance — the chef will do their best to accommodate, and there's always fresh fruit and vegetables on board.
Wi-Fi and scuba diving aren't part of a cabin cruise package — snorkelling gear, paddleboards and kayaks generally are.

Booking & Practical Info

On a cabin charter you book by the cabin on a fixed, shared itinerary with a set menu; on a private charter you book the whole yacht exclusively and can tailor the schedule.
The route is set by our destination team to cover the best highlights and isn't changed for individual bookings, even if you book every cabin.
We strongly recommend travel insurance for any cabin-charter cruise, to cover you in case you need to cancel.
Flights, travel insurance, and typically airport transfers, Wi-Fi, diving and alcoholic drinks beyond what's stated in your quote — your quote will spell out exactly what's covered.
