Bodrum → Hisarönü

Boarding starts by 15:30 from Bodrum Harbor. On the first day, our boat will remain anchored in Bodrum Port for dinner and an overnight stay. Bodrum has a history that goes back to the 12th century B.C. The city, called 'Halicarnassus', was the birthplace of Herodotus, the 'Father of History', who lived in the 5th century B.C. The Mausoleum of King Mausolus (350 B.C.), one of the Seven Wonders of the World, is in this city. The only structure that survived from the Classical Era is the Amphitheatre, one of the oldest theatres in Anatolia with a capacity of 13,000 guests, still hosting shows and concerts today. Another landmark to visit is the Castle of Saint Peter, one of the best preserved pieces of architecture dating back to the Middle Ages. The Myndos Gate, through which Alexander the Great entered Halicarnassus, is another place not to miss.

After breakfast, you will be informed about the cruise itinerary and the boat. We start cruising to Palamutbuku Bay early in the morning. We anchor at Ince Burun after lunch and swimming breaks. We stay in this lovely bay for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast we cruise to Aktur Bay, then our first stop is Bencik Bay, which has a very narrow entrance but a unique view once inside. Bencik is located at the narrowest part of the peninsula dividing Hisaronu Gulf from Gokova Gulf, on the Hisaronu side. In the 550s B.C. the Cnidus people tried to dig a tunnel through this narrowest land piece as a defense line against the Persians, aiming to turn two peninsulas into an island for easier defense; ultimately they could not manage it and the city was conquered by the Persians. Dinner and an overnight stay will be in Bencik Bay.

After breakfast, we anchor in Emel Sayin Bay for a swimming stop. For lunch we dock in Orhaniye Bay, where you will see the unique scenery of a natural tidal formation called 'Kız Kumu' (Maiden's Beach), a reddish sand-path suitable for walking from the shore into the sea. On a tiny island in the bay you can see the wrecks of an antique castle, a sign of an ancient city. Our final destination today is Selimiye for dinner and an overnight stay.

After anchoring in Dirsekbuku, we go to Bozburun, a small fishing town. This area was once popular for sponge-diving, but nowadays sponge-diving is no longer financially viable and has largely been replaced by gulet tourism, which Bozburun's gulets now form part of.

We cruise to Datca, where food and water will be supplied to the boat from Datca Harbor. Datca was founded by the Dorians, who came from the Aegean Sea to the southern coast of Ionia in the 7th century B.C. The area has no humidity and fresh air with plenty of oxygen — the historian Strabon remarked favorably on Datca's climate.

We start cruising early in the morning to Karaada (Black Island). Breakfast and a swimming break are at Poyraz Bay, on the northern side of the island, with its turquoise-blue waters. We anchor at Meteor Bay, on the southern side of the island, for lunch — the bay takes its name from a meteor hole, where you may jump off a platform into deep water, or walk through nearby underwater caves for a small local fee. We dock in Bodrum Harbour for dinner and an overnight stay.

The guests will leave the boat with precious memories by 10:30 after breakfast.
